Migrar.org es un espacio de apoyo a las personas inmigrantes en España.

Migrar.org arises in response to the current situation of migratory flow that is taking place in the global world and likewise in Spain, which in the last few years has become a country that receives immigration. The increasing difference between developed countries and developing countries or, said differently, between the North and the South, and the armed conflict suffered by many nations, is favouring the flight of persons from said countries to others where their expectations for social and economic development are more favourable However, the obstacles faced by immigrants are multiple: legalisation of their residence status, different cultural environment, in some cases ignorance of the language, unemployment, situations pertaining to legal insecurity or difficulties to access the labour market under decent conditions, etc. Migrar.org is a portal that offers their services to society as an instrument to favour social and labour integration of immigrants, the same based on three important lines of action:
Support and guidance
Social awareness
Training to favour comprehensive social integration The origin of this project resides in ?proyectocom?, which was born from the collaboration between the Spanish Red Cross and the ?Fundació Bosch i Gimpera (University of Barcelona), the same within the Spanish Red Cross Employment Plan. More specifically, the project is framed within the ?Programa Operativo Pluriregional de Lucha Contra la Discriminación? (Multi-regional Operating Programme in the Fight Against Discrimination) that promotes actions covering integration of immigrant workers in the Spanish labour market, with co-financing from the European Social Fund. Institutions promoting the project Currently the portal is being handled by the Fundación MIGRAR, representing the main axis of their activity. Spanish Red Cross places their professionals, at the disposal of this portal, so that they may participate in the resolution of all consultations made of the free guidance service. On the other hand they also insure that the content of the ?What should you do? section is duly updated. The Red Cross Foundation finances the project. Fundación Chandra is the organisation that has designed and set-up the portal. Currently they are responsible for management of its content
